Whilst we are a small company we conduct our business in full compliance with travel and tour industry regulations.
We want you to have the best possible time on your holiday and we’ve done our very best to make sure you have a relaxed, enthralling and totally amazing time with us. We are really looking forward to welcoming you and sharing our adventures together.
We are a small company and whilst we are not based on huge profits (compare our prices with anyone else) we take the comfort of your holiday and the smooth operation of the tour very seriously. That is why booking with us doesn’t involve us sending you! We take you! Adventure, together!
We also take the welfare and conservation of the nature we are lucky to witness extremely seriously and the welfare of these species and the protection of the environment is paramount to us. Of course we have an impact in our daily lives and by simply using the necessary transport and ac- commodations for this trip has an impact but we also use this as an opportunity to promote and support truly sustainable ecotourism. We do this by supporting local villagers, herders, farmers, landowners, food producers, local naturalists and conservation organisations in instigating new or expanding existing conservation projects . We will give you more specific information about this and how it relates to our trip.
Below you will find important information regarding your holiday, please do read it and feel free to raise any queries with us.
We are unable to accept any responsibility for extra costs incurred as a result of delays by ferries, airlines, strikes, or any other causes beyond our control. We will however always seek alternative options and solutions wherever possible.
Passport ,Visa and Health Requirements
All clients are responsible for and must be in possession of a valid passport, which is not due for renewal for at least six months following the conclusion of their holiday. Should you need to renew your passport, please allow a minimum of six weeks. Visas and vaccinations are also the responsibility of each client. In all cases, clients will be advised if any of these are required well in advance of their holiday. We can only offer guidance; where appropriate, medical advice should always be provided by a medical expert.
Your travel Insurance
Since travel insurance is a legal requirement, we will need a copy of your insurance prior to any trips. we cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage of any personal effects whatsoever; the same applies to any personal injury, illness or accident. Although we take the upmost care to ensure this doesn’t happen at all times.
Inglorious Bustards Insurance
We are a fully insured company with specific tour operators insurance. Further details of which we are happy to provide upon request.
Our insurance cover extends to any activity we perform as a tour operator or organiser as defined by the Package Holidays, Package Travel and Package Tour Regulations 1992.
Our insurance fully covers us in line with the Package Holidays, Package Travel and Package Tour Regulations 1992, including public liability and crisis management and containment.
We are insured by Fusion Insurance Services. This entitles us to Worldwide cover excluding USA and Canada (where we do not currently operate). The policy is underwritten by Hiscox Underwriting Ltd on behalf of Hiscox Insurance Company Limited.
Whilst our insurance provides adequate cover for our activities it is still a legal requirement and a requirement set-out in our conditions that you must hold your own travel insurance for the duration of the tour with us. Details of your insurance must be provided no later than 1 week before your arrival date.
All bookings must be accompanied by the appropriate deposit. The balance is due 4 weeks before departure although we can remain flexible and will discuss this directly with you.
All payments must be in pounds sterling or euros. A non-refundable deposit must accompany all booking forms. We accept most major credit and debit cards.
We reserve the right to modify the holiday or to substitute accommodation if necessary. However, we will always try to ensure that this does not affect the quality of your holiday.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel at our discretion any tour that has insufficient bookings, in the event of which an alternative holiday may be offered. Anyone declining the new offer will naturally be refunded in full. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel, you will be informed in writing not less than 40 days before the departure date.
Cancellation by you
Should you need to cancel your holiday for whatever reason, we can only accept notice in writing and this will only be effective from the day we receive it (email is acceptable).
Unfortunately due to charges we will have incurred setting up the tour the following charges will apply for cancellation in all cases: More than 8 weeks: deposit only; 8 – 5 weeks: 50% of total cost; less than 5 weeks: 100% of cost.
We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when you book your holiday to cover you in the unseen event of needing to cancel.
We can in certain cases transfer money to another tour or tour date, please contact us immediately so we can avoid any unnecessary charges for you . The last thing we want is for you to miss out!
Understandably we use a variety of transport methods, including ferries, boats, cars and minibuses whilst on tour with us.
Day to day travel is conducted by ourselves or our trusted logistic support team using fully serviced 9 seater minibuses. All our drivers are naturally insured, licensed and do not carry any endorsements. At Inglorious Bustards we have exacting requirements for all of our transport providers and drivers so that you have a safe and comfortable journey with us.
